beautiful, and a new doll

I can get lots of good bird photos from my studio windows. They might see me, but are not worried...
 Evidence of a bird...

This driveway is up the road from us. I love the huge old trees and the gate...
This is the road I walk almost every day...

This is one of the views on my walk.
And this is my very grumpy feral cat, all nice and warm in his house. I still can't touch him. Been over a year since we started feeding him. I can get about a foot and a half from him now. His name is Lion.

And this is my new doll. I am reluctantly putting her up for adoption at my Etsy shop-but I really don't want her to go...there is something about her that I really love. I have carefully hand stitched her clothing. Her head and hair and breastplate under her dress top are made of paperclay. I spent many, many hours getting her face right. Somehow I have finally achieved what I have been working so hard for in a doll-to convey a feeling. That is maybe why I love her so much...
I am making a series of these dolls-the same size and coloring. They are a numbered series-men and women dolls.

Hi Debra,
Your photos of nature are just beautiful. Something so peaceful about them.
And your doll. You know sometimes you need to go with your feelings.. Maybe you should keep her. I love the primitive look you achieve in your dolls. She is different, and that is special.. Such details!
blessings,
Penny

Oh Debra, your photos are beautiful! Also, your doll is special...something about her face says so much. It's serious, even a tad stern, but her mouth belies all that with just a hint of a smile on one slightly upturned side. I enjoy your dolls so much. They are uniquely yours.

Beautiful work, Debra. Her expression does show feeling, heart warming, friendship, compassion, and happiness. The clothes are perfect for her. Your pictures also have a lot of feeling. The cows in the field, the gate, morning fogs, all are thinking photos.

What a beautiful landscape to see each day! Your photos are making me envious, Debra--such gorgeous scenery. I especially love the pic "Evidence of a bird" with that feather.

And I can see why you are hesitant to give up that doll; such personality!

I read that you really didn't want to see this doll go and weren't sure why...I thought out loud...Her Face. Then you mentioned the FEELING conveyed in her face. See..you created that. She's great but I'm sure she will be leaving you.

Nice pics of the nature around you. There is something that intrigues me about birds on a wire. How do they balance themselves and hang on in the wind????? I used to have many Mourning Doves at my feeders until I took the platform feeders away because the squirrels wouldn't stay out of it. I'm thinking I'll put it back for the winter because the Cardinals love it too.

have a great weekend.

The photos are stunning. I love walks through foggy landscapes and your landscapes are so beautiful. The driveway with the gate and large trees looks so mysterious--part of the appeal of the fog!

I was on Etsy yesterday admiring your work and "favorited" your sweet doll and the painting of the ombre cat with the vases. I love, love, love that painting. I added it to my Christmas list too! Actually, I like everything in your shop, but your new doll and the ombre cat painting are my very favorites! Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a great Thanksgiving too but hope to chat a bit before then. Love you! XO

Oh my Debra - your photos are just stunning. Your walks have to be ever so special. Especially love the tree lined road. For sure that would be a favorite place of mine. As for your Doll - she is gorgeous. I understand how hard it must be to let her go. I always enjoy seeing your work and your pictures my sweet friend. Hope you have a blessed week. Hugs!
